Here are some tips about time management. Requiring you to listen to this and read this page we can do, what you then do with the information is up to you.

Some important tips of our own:

  1. There’s an old trick used when paper was prevalent of putting a red dot on every paper you touch. How often do you need to read an email before you take action? Getting super clear about what possible actions there are to take will help you convert emails faster into actionable steps. Obviously you will be far more efficient if you only read an email once, then immediately take the next step.
  2. Always use descriptive email headers / subject lines. If the conversation changes within the email string, be sure the subject changes too. If someone asks you a yes / no question, answer the question within the subject (i.e. “4pm = yes”).
  3. Psychological Dissonance, a fancy way of saying this “unresolved bad feeling” or slight resistance to doing something, or even a source of depression occurs when you know you need to reach an outcome, but aren’t precisely sure how to get there. Say you need to make money, but aren’t sure exactly what step(s) to take, or need to get a project wrapped up, but aren’t quite sure what’s left to be done. The way to short circuit this is realizing that identifying _what_ is to be done is indeed the next step, and if you aren’t sure even what needs to be done, then identifying the person who will know what is to be done is the next step, then communicating the gap (where you are, vs. where you want to be) will be the next step. At any given moment, we absolutely, positively, without exception need to know the status of every lead and project, and applying this process to your own income as well as all client’s projects will help you reach the income you’re looking for. If you make a to-do list and it includes something like “wrap Project X” or “make $3,000 by Friday”, then break that down into smaller bite-size, specific-action steps (including if needed, “Call Mr. Expert for advice”) will help you move along consistently.
  4. Schedule Downtime. This is especially important for people who work from home, as it’s easy to be sort of working all the time, which then leads to not truly working enough of the time, which leads to poor results and incomes you’ll complain about. Only you know how much off time you need, but watch out for the work/play bleed-over. Work hard, play hard, and be fully committed to whatever you’re doing.
